On 24-26 May, the Krakow part of the World Copernican Congress took place, officially inaugurated in the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University. Our client Iwona Gibas, a member of the board of directors of the Malopolska Region, attended the event. For this special occasion, she chose an exclusive, tailor-made suit in intense red.

World Copernican Congress in Krakow. Celebrating the 550th anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’ birth
The World Copernican Congress, the Krakow part of which was solemnly inaugurated on 24 May with a lecture by Rev. Prof. Michał Heller entitled ‘Nicolaus Copernicus’ Theory of Relativity’, is one part of an international scientific event. The congress, organised to celebrate the 550th anniversary of the birth of the eminent astronomer, has been planned in a ‘rolling’ formula – deliberations take place in 3 Polish cities – Toruń, Kraków and Olsztyn. The event is organised by Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the Institute of the History of Science, Polish Academy of Sciences.
The Krakow part of the Congress, which ran from 24-26 May, brought together scientists and economists from 10 countries. The opening ceremony at the Aditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow was attended by, among others, the Secretary of State at the Ministry and Science, Włodzimierz Biernacki, the Governor of Małopolska, Łukasz Kmita, and the Member of the Board of the Małopolska Region, Iwona Gibas.
